Myth Vs. Fact: Medicare does not cover Dental, Hearing and Vision benefits.

Fact! Original Medicare does not cover extra benefits such as routine Dental, Hearing, and Vision benefits. In some cases, limited coverage may be provided if services are Medically necessary.

How does one find Dental, Hearing or Vision benefits?

Optional coverage is available for those seeking extra benefits. Medicare Advantage plans are offered by private insurance companies approved by Medicare.  They bundle Part A and Part B to create Part C. Plans may offer extra benefits such as dental, hearing and vision that Original Medicare doesn’t cover. Plans maybe include the coverage embedded or offer additional riders you can add to your plan for coverage.

Purchasing coverage as a standalone is also an option. For example, one could purchase a standalone dental plan, a beneficiary would purchase a dental plan from a dental insurance carrier.

What is considered the “best option” completely depends on the individual and what they are looking for in coverage and costs. Our agents at VibrantUSA are available to help beneficiaries narrow down plan options that best suit someone’s individual needs. Give us a call at 866-733-5111.
