Myth Vs. Fact: Medicare only covers those over the age of 65.
Myth! The most common category of Medicare eligible beneficiaries is those who are over age 65 who are United States Citizens, or permanent residents living in the United States for the past five years. However, there are a few more ways one can be eligible for Medicare.

- People under age 65 with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) often referred to as Lou Gehrig’s Disease (LGD).
- People Under 65 with disabilities, after 24 months of receiving Social Security Disability Income (SSDI).
