As 2018 is winding down, our team is busy preparing for the upcoming Medicare Annual Election Period. This is also the time of year when our team begins to learn about changes that take effect on January 1st, 2019. For example, one of these changes is that CMS has now approved Premera Blue Cross acquiring Soundpath Health’s Medicare Advantage contracts effective January 1st, 2019.
Another change we have learned about is regarding Family Care Network and the insurers they contract with. Family Care Network has announced that starting on January 1st, they will no longer be contracting with Soundpath Health nor Premera Blue Cross Medicare Advantage plans. VibrantUSA is working closely with the team at Family Care Network to make sure we have all the necessary information to support their patients and our customers with this change.
Family Care Network will announce their list of contracted plans and options for 2019 on October 1st, 2018. The good news is that VibrantUSA is able to represent every plan option that Family Care Network will be contracted with in 2019 and will be able to help seniors review all of their options. The Medicare Annual Election Period begins on October 15th and concludes on December 7th.
