Earlier today we learned that UW Medicine and their facilities would no longer be participating in the Regence BlueShield Medicare Advantage PPO Network for 2016.  This change will impact thousands of members throughout the Puget Sound region as the King County Medicare Advantage PPO network is reduced for 2016.  However, this change is solely limited to the Regence PPO plans as the Regence BlueAdvantage HMO plans will still remain part of this network.

Members who continue to utilize UW Medicine facilities and providers after January 1, 2016, will have higher out-of-network cost-sharing.

Even though this change will undoubtedly impact thousands of members throughout the region, the Regence Medicare Advantage PPO plan will still have many excellent providers in network that offer outstanding health care services in King County, Washington.

If you are a member of this plan, Regence has said they will be mailing you a letter within the month of October to inform you of this change.  Regence has also made their “Find a Doctor” tool available to help you find other in-network providers.

Should you wish to evaluate all of your plan options for 2016, the VibrantUSA team is here to assist.  We have helped over 15,000 seniors throughout the Pacific Northwest and we specialize solely on Medicare Insurance products.
