By now, most of you who are enrolled in one of United Healthcare’s (AARP) Medicare Advantage plans have received your Annual Notification of Change letter. For many of you this year came as a surprise as long-time zero premium plan options have increased to as high as $55 per month. What should you do?
[check_list]- First, don’t panic. You have plenty of time to evaluate your options and can either choose to keep your plan or enroll in a new plan (or return to original Medicare) anytime between October 15 and December 7 of this year.
- Don’t react. If the United Healthcare plan was the right choice for you in 2014, it might very well be the right choice in 2015. The Annual Election Period is a time to take a fresh look at all of your options and there are plenty of them available. You will want to make sure that your providers accept the plans you are considering, evaluate how the drugs you take are covered by these plans and, obviously, review the plans themselves.
- We are here to help. VibrantUSA has been in the business of helping Washington State’s seniors understand their Medicare options and make the right decisions for over ten years. We represent nearly every plan available so we can help you truly compare your options without bias on our part.
