Monday August 25th, Washington State’s Insurance Commissioner Mike Kreidler, announced a limited special enrollment period for those people who have experienced certain problems enrolling or obtaining insurance through the State’s exchange, the Washington Healthplan Finder.

This period is limited to those who have experienced problems with enrollment, billing, or payment issues. Affected people may leave the exchange and purchase a plan off the exchange to obtain coverage but will lose their subsidy as a result, therefore will pay more for their insurance if they had a subsidy through the exchange.
