NEWSFLASH: It is official. Providence Health Plan (PHP) is pulling out of Snohomish County (WA) effective 1/1/14. Anyone covered by these plans will either need to return to original Medicare or choose another Medicare Advantage plan.
The good news is that there are a number of plan options available to residents of Snohomish County and that people affected by this change are covered under a Special Enrollment Period giving them extra time to decide what they wish to do. In order to maintain your insurance coverage, we recommend that people review their options and choose a new plan by December 31, 2013.
