SoundPath Health is reducing the number of plans offered in their portfolio as requested by regulators. SoundPath Health is NOT leaving your service area.
Members in Snohomish and Whatcom counties are among those impacted. Thousands of beneficiaries enrolled in one the plan options no longer being offered received a form letter in early October explaining options. The letter confused many as it was a “form letter” which could not be modified by the insurer.
If you are currently a member of one of the plans leaving your area, VibrantUSA is here to help. You will have an extended period of time to choose a new plan – through February 2013. However, we feel it is best to make your decision during the Open Enrollment Period which runs from October 15 through December 7, 2012 for a January 1, 2013 effective date. If you wait until January 1 through February 28, 2013 to choose your plan, you will be placed on Original Medicare and you will also be without Prescription Drug coverage (if it was part of your Medicare Advantage plan).
